Rapid advances in microbial, plant, and animal sciences, biotechnology, data-driven biology, and translational research have created new opportunities to develop sustainable, resilient solutions aligned with global development priorities.

However, a significant gap often exists between scientific discoveries, technological innovations, and policy implementation. To achieve long-term sustainability, it is essential to integrate cutting-edge bioscience research with innovation ecosystems and evidence-based policymaking. International dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration are crucial to ensure that bioscience research translates into real-world impact.

In this context, the UGC-CAS Department of Bioscience at Saurashtra University, Rajkot, is organizing an International Conference on “Innovations in Biosciences for Sustainable Development: Bridging Research, Innovation, and Policy” during December 2026. The conference will provide a global platform for academics, researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and students to exchange knowledge, share innovations, and discuss strategies for sustainable development through biosciences.
